Happy Thoughts

It has been another lovely day here, the sun is shining. the Sun makes you have happy thoughts.
Well I got my ironing done, well most of it, I never get to the bottom of the basket, I think it fills up from the bottom when I'm not looking.
Another summery card, using those lovely papers from October Afternoon, I think this is the simplest card yet for the Clean and Simple challenge blog.
Paper: October Afternoon;Fly a Kite.

Sending you a little happy

It is a beautiful summer's day here, but as I don't get the sun in my garden after 2pm, and I don't do much sunbathing anyway, I went up to my craft room and opened all the windows.
At the weekend I received a box of goodies from the USA and these papers from October Afternoon were included, I love the summery look and thought the stamp was just perfect for these papers. After a week of no crafting I couldn't wait to get into my craft room and what a better start then to be using some brand new goodies. The sketch is from Our creative Corner, which I flipped so it fit my stamp better.
Papers: Fly a kite; October Afternoon
Stamp: Unity stamp Co.
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz: brushed corduroy.

Cameron House. Our accomadation

When we got to Cameron House we were upgraded to a luxury lodge, it didn't look like much from the outside but when we got inside wow it was fabulous. there was even a sauna in one of the 3 bathrooms and whirlpools baths.Talk about being spoilt, we didn't want to go out. Then on Wednesday night we got a phone call to say that we had to vacate the lodge as the owner wanted to come into it a day early, oh what a shame, but we were told that they would put us a suite in the Hotel, so we had to pack up our stuff on weds night and then on Thursday move over to the hotel. But wow Our Suite was absolutely gorgeous. talk about being spoilt rotten we could quite easily get used to this.
We had a great time and didn't want leave but the fairytale trip had to end sometime, shame, might have to find my self a millionaire.only joking,  We met some lovely people and the scottish are so very friendly just loved them all. and last but not least thanks to my super Hubby for taking me on a wonderful few days away.

Our Cruise on Loch Lomond

We are having a fabulous time here at Cameron House, and the weather has been very kind to us, it has been really hot, although a little overcast today, it was warm. Our Cruise on the Loch was lovely, it was a gift from the kids, and the champagne went down very well too.
Brian played golf on Tuesday, and I walked the course well after all that lovely food I needed the exercise. he is playing again tomorrow but I am having a spa day, talk about being spoilt, and after 40years of married bliss, lol, I think I truly derserve it.

Had a lovely day

We had a lovely day yesterday, drove up to Chester and then Brian played golf and as I don't play I walked the course with him, it is simply beautiful up here, and the weather was kind, in fact so kind I got a little burnt, ouch. usually I am so careful but it wasn't that hot a t first then the afternoon got hotter.
Then it was dinner with Our son Stephen and his wife Rhiannon and our granson Rhys, he is growing to be a lovely young man, and we met his girlfriend Holly, who was just the sweetest young lady. All in all had a lovely day.

Thank to you all for your good wishes, it was so sweet.

Off up to Scotland soon after a trip to the local shopping outlet, well although I can't wait to get there it will probably take about 4 hours or more, so a little retail therapy before hand is called for.

It must be True

And they said it wouldn't last! well 40 years not bad going, and we proved them all wrong. But how did we get here, its been quite journey, well maybe just an ordinary journey. I was 16 and Brian was 19, and so much in love we didn't listen to anyone else, I never believe anyone who says you can't know what true love is at 16 or that there is no such thing as love at first sight. I know because it happened to me. and here we are 2 children and 2 grandchildren later, still so very much in love. I not saying that it's been all plain sailing, but love endures. Anyway before I start to gush too much and make you all feel nauseous I will go.

You are in my heart

This might be the last card for a few days as off to Scotland for a few days, but if Mr sheduled blog works there is a scrap layout for you to see tomorrow.

I've done a lot of sketch challenges lately, but this one is just for fun. I have been so much inspired my Melissa Phillips's blog and this card is inspired by her, if you haven't visited her you really must she make the most beautiful cards and her blog is well worth a read. But before you hop over there make a cup of coffee and prepare to be amazed.

The Sweet Stop 60

Another sketch challenge this one for The Sweet Stop. A qucick post off to Weight Watchers in a little while although it is coming off so slowly now about 1/2 lb a week if I'm lucky. But I expect I will be putting some on next week with staying in a posh hotel, and 2 celebration meals at the weekend. but who cares I intend to enjoy myself and worry later.

Sweet Sunday sketch73

This is the other card that I made on Sunday, for Sweet Sunday challenge. I was going to make more cards yesterday, but after my 6mile walk all I wanted to do was slump down on the sofa.

I am trying to do as much crafting this week as poss, as we are away next week. It is Brian's and mine Ruby Wedding Anniversary on Sunday and after having a celebration meal with the family we are taking ourselves off to Cameron House on the beautiful banks of Loch Lomond for a few days, and a prezzie from the kids arrived today, they had actually got their heads together to arrange a Luxury Cruise on the Loch.
Can't wait to go now but lots of packing to do, what do I take? warm clothes and walking boots me thinks and a few posh frocks for the hotel. At least it's a bit easier to choose now as my wardrobe is much depleted as nothing fits. And just in case you are thinking they must be too small, it the opposite, having lost 36lbs now on WW diet I have only 4lbs to go to my goal, maybe IF I don't gorge too much on the luxury food and we do lots of walking, it won't be too bad. Brian is taking his Golf Clubs so a few walks around the golf course too.

Papers: Sweet Pea: Stampin Up
Stamp: Hero Arts.
